Introduction

The latest batch of application drawings has been released, revealing a host of new vehicles, including the Huawei-affiliated new car, the Enjoy World S9, which was fully exposed for the first time; Honda's new brand, the Lingxi L; the facelifted Tengshi N7; the round and chubby Jikrypton MIX; and the long-awaited first car from Anhui Volkswagen, the Volkswagen ID.UNYX, among others. These significant new cars will be released or go on sale in the near future and are worth a look. Which one do you think is the most eye-catching?

Enjoy World S9: Will be the most premium sedan in the Huawei series

The series that Huawei deeply participates in all carry the word "Jie", such as "Ask Jie" and "Wisdom Jie". This time it's the "Enjoy World" by Huawei in cooperation with BAIC Blue Valley. The first model is luxurious, and it will be the most premium sedan in the Huawei series, with a car length of 5160mm and a wheelbase of 3050mm, positioned as a mid-to-large sedan, directly competing with the "56E" of the German luxury brands (BBA), as well as domestic new energy vehicles like the NIO ET7 and the IM Motors L7, etc.

In terms of styling, the Enjoy World S9 continues the "Huawei series" design, which is in line with the Ask Jie M9 and Wisdom Jie S7, and leans towards a sports coupe style. It offers hidden door handles, optional electronic rearview mirrors, and high-end configurations such as LiDAR. It is purely electric, not range-extended, with Huawei providing the drive motor, with the front and rear motors having a maximum power of 158kW and 227kW respectively.

According to insiders, the price is expected to be between 300,000 and 500,000 yuan. If it really sells at this price, the Enjoy World S9 will become the most expensive executive sedan in Huawei's smart selection of cars. The car will be released in June, and according to the official statement, the annual production capacity is planned for 300,000 units. The expectation is for the Enjoy World S9 to sell more than 10,000 units per month. What do you think of this sales target?

The Enjoy World S9 is the first car of the Enjoy World series, and they also plan to have SUVs and MPVs. However, Huawei prioritized BAIC to make sedans first and then other types of vehicles.

BAIC Blue Valley stated that the pricing of the Enjoy World brand, which is a result of their cooperation, will be higher than the Arcfox brand, and the sales channels will be managed by Huawei, with the new products not overlapping much with Arcfox products. Currently, there are mainly two modes of cooperation with Huawei: 1) The HI mode, where Huawei provides components such as motors and battery management systems from Huawei, as well as parts related to autonomous driving and smart cockpits, which require continuous software iteration and operation, thus necessitating in-depth cooperation between Huawei and the vehicle manufacturers; 2) The smart selection car mode, which can be seen as an enhanced version of the HI mode, where Huawei takes the lead in vehicle design, user definition, and user experience design, and the car models will also be sold through Huawei's channels. It is clear that Enjoy World belongs to the smart selection car mode.

Tengshi N7: Facelift, new entry-level version

After the Tengshi N7 was launched, it could not continue the sales miracle of the Tengshi D9, with monthly sales only in the triple digits, partly due to the high price range and the "mustache" front fascia that some people were not accustomed to. However, with the arrival of the new model, these two shortcomings may be resolved.

The new Tengshi N7 has eliminated the "mustache" LED light group, simplifying the complex lines, making it visually more fresh and natural. The rest of the design is consistent with the currently available models. In terms of power, the new model will be equipped with a single electric motor power system, capable of outputting a maximum power of 170kW. From a parameter perspective, this is lower than the current single motor (230kW) and dual motor (390kW) power, and it will become the entry-level version. Currently, the guided selling price of the Denza N7 is 301,800-379,800 yuan, and the new model will break through the 300,000 yuan mark, entering the 200,000 yuan range. Coupled with a discount of around 50,000 yuan at the terminal, the new model is likely to significantly boost sales upon arrival.

Lingxi L: The first car of the new brand from Dongfeng Honda

Lingxi is a new energy brand from Dongfeng Honda, and the Lingxi L is the first new car under the brand. How many points would you give for its appearance?

The Lingxi L is built on the concept of a polyhedron, with angular and sculptural features, adopting a three-wing front face design, and the body is covered with a large number of triangular geometric lines, highlighting its personalized characteristics. The rear is full, complemented by a slightly upturned spoiler design, which leaves a deep impression.

The Lingxi L is not small in size, with dimensions of 4830×1845×1503mm, and a wheelbase of 2731mm. In terms of power, it will be equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 160kW.

In the future, Dongfeng Honda will have three major sectors: the strong electric smart hybrid technology brand, the e:NS electrification brand, and the Lingxi new energy brand, focusing on the layout of EV, HEV, and PHEV new energy technology routes. The company expects that by 2025, the proportion of electrified products will exceed 50%, and by 2030, more than 10 pure electric models will have been launched.

Ji Krypton MIX: SUV or MPV?

Ji Krypton has unveiled a brand new model - the Ji Krypton MIX, which was officially defined as an all-new crossover SUV, but most people believe it looks more like an MPV, and some even call it a "baby bus". Its shape also bears some resemblance to the Volkswagen ID.Buzz.

The Ji Krypton MIX adopts a minimalist luxury exterior design language similar to that used in the Ji Krypton 007, with a round front, a large front windshield, and slender front headlights, similar to the Ji Krypton 007, and it is expected to have customizable lighting effects.

It is said that the vehicle uses a brand new door structure, without traditional door handles, nor hidden door handles, possibly controlled electronically. There are rumors that the vehicle may adopt a B-pillar-less design, but this cannot be confirmed from the current application drawings, or there may be multiple versions available for consumers to choose from. The dimensions of the Zeekr MIX are 4688×1995×1755mm, with a wheelbase of 3008mm. It can be observed that the Zeekr MIX does not have a particularly long body, but its wheelbase is quite substantial, resembling more the layout of an MPV rather than the SUV classification claimed by the manufacturer. In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power output of 310kW. This powertrain is also found in the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 007 models, indicating a commonality within the brand's offerings.

Compared to other high-end new energy brands, Zeekr's vehicle designs are quite distinctive. For instance, its first model leans towards a shooting brake style, while the Zeekr X resembles a raised hatchback. As for the latest Zeekr MIX, what category would you classify its structure into?

Volkswagen ID.UNYX and the Crowd: The First Car from Anhui Volkswagen

Anhui Volkswagen is Volkswagen's third joint venture in China, established as early as 2017. However, it wasn't until 2024 that Volkswagen Anhui welcomed its first pure electric SUV model, named the ID.UNYX and the Crowd. This vehicle is positioned as a compact coupe SUV and can be considered a sister model to the Cupra Tavascan. Cupra, which may not be familiar to many, is a high-performance sub-brand of the Spanish brand SEAT. The Volkswagen ID.UNYX and the Crowd is set to be officially launched this year.

The Volkswagen ID.UNYX and the Crowd is also built on the Volkswagen MEB platform. Judging from its name, it belongs to the Volkswagen ID. family and follows the general design direction of the ID. series, but with a more imaginative and bold approach, completely contrasting with the conventional image of Volkswagen. In fact, the personalized and aggressive design will be one of its major selling points.

In summary, as the Beijing Auto Show approaches, major manufacturers will also accelerate the pace of model updates. The new batch of vehicle applications has introduced several significant models that have broadened our horizons. The "wait-and-see" party is always invincible; please look forward to the launch of more popular new cars.
